(Recommended Level of English: B2 – C1)
Goal:
Effective verbal communication is the key objective: Getting through to your audience in a clear and concise manner and therefore making your message understood. Emphasis is placed on clarity,
transparency and focus. Participants are expected to do a 15 to 20-minute presentation in front of the class on a topic of their choice. Necessary corrections as well as feedback will be provided
by the trainer and the rest of the class, in an encouraging, friendly and always professional atmosphere.
Seminar Contents (2 days):

Cultural Awareness – Presenting to audiences of different cultural backgrounds.

Making a Strong and Positive Opening – Introduction of intelligent vocabulary and effective phrases
to open a presentation.

Talking about Visuals - Referring to pie charts, slides and diagrams.

The Middle of the Presentation - Organising points, connecting words, moving from general to
specific

Giving Bad and Good News - Talking about results and outcomes. Expressing change, momentum,
forecasts and figures.

Troubleshooting - Forgetting a word, an important point, a missed slide. Running out of time or
going into overtime.

A Strong Conclusion - Summarizing main points, offering opinion, making recommendations, thanking
the audience for attending and listening, ending on a positive note.

Questions and More Troubleshooting - Misinterpreting or misunderstanding comments or questions, not
understanding questions, not having an answer, addressing hostility or rudeness.
