Presenting in English

Goal:

Effective verbal communication is the key objective: Getting through to your audience in a clear and concise manner and therefore making your message understood. Emphasis is placed on clarity, transparency and focus.

 

Participants are expected to give a 15 to 20-minute presentation in front of the class on a topic of their choice. Necessary corrections as well as feedback will be provided by the trainer in a supportive, encouraging and always professional way.

 

Seminar Contents (2 days):

  • Key Factors to Successful Presentations
  • Challenges of Public Speaking – Strategies to overcome nervousness, development of stage presence and confidence, thinking positively.
  • Understanding the Audience – Necessary adjustments depending on knowledge and culture of the audience
  • Preparation – Being aware of goal and message, practice and rehearsals
  • Opening with Conviction – Stories and anecdotes
  • Delivering – The perfect mix of data and narrative, making the best use of multimedia
  • Presentation Tips and Pitfalls to Avoid – Sharpening presentation skills
  • Q&A Session – How to deal with unexpected questions or critical comments
  • Language Work – Useful and intelligent vocabulary, phrases and grammar.

Recommended Level of English: B2

Fee per Person: 980.- € (+  19% VAT.)
