In today’s business climate most companies regularly run performance reviews (minimum once a year). However, experience shows that neither superiors nor direct reports are very enthusiastic about this managerial tool: executives often perceive the conversations with each member of their staff as a time-consuming interruption of their daily work whereas direct reports normally feel nervous about the upcoming encounter with their boss. The aim of this workshop is to analyze the particular performance reviews currently practised in the company, to clarify the purpose of the instrument and to prepare participants for future performance reviews. Additionally effective communication techniques are introduced, discussed and practised.
Workshop Contents (1 Day):
The workshop is designed to ensure high practical relevance. Participants are invited to provide examples from their work environment. Interactive lectures and coaching units alternate. Difficult parts of performance reviews can be simulated on demand.
